QUALITY ASSURANCE PRACTICE

Quality Assurance (QA) is a critical component in the timely and cost-effective deployment of mission-critical business applications.  Pegasus provides Software Quality and Performance Assurance Services which enable our clients to deploy and maintain functionally correct, load-scalable applications.

Engagements can be structured on a time-and-materials basis or as fixed-cost bids.  Work can be performed at the client site or at Pegasus facilities.

OUR QA STAFF

Pegasus prides itself on a skilled pool of professional QA personnel including senior architects, project managers, test engineers, tools specialists, and certified quality analysts to provide end-to-end QA solutions tailored to the unique business needs of our clients.  Many of our senior consultants have over 10 years relevant experience at Fortune 100 companies.

We have extensive experience in application testing and monitoring technologies to deliver solutions that address your unique business application needs.  We support leading edge testing tools environments like Mercury Interactive, Rational, Segue, and Compuware.

SYSTEMS INTEGRATION AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

The Pegasus “Six” MethodologySM enables us to provide QA solutions tailored to the unique business needs of our clients.  By implementing some or all phases of this methodology we can deliver and deploy an end-to-end QA solution; or we can lend our expertise only to specific activities: e.g. build of a Proof-of-Concept prototype, or provide a Process Assessment.

Within the QA practice we offer the following capabilities:

QA Process Assessment:  The goal of this activity is to assess the maturity of the QA process, tools, infrastructure and methodology in meeting client business objectives.  We take a full lifecycle management approach in recommending QA solutions during application development as well as monitoring the application after deployment to assure the required level of service is being delivered.

QA Process Deployment:  We will propose the most effective QA solutions for shortening testing cycles—for example test automation and load testing—and improving software quality of your development projects.  We will work alongside your existing development organization to solve performance and deployment issues before they become critical problems.

QA Process Reengineering:  We can reengineer your existing QA process using your existing toolset, or enhance it further through tool migration, automation, and integration with best-of-breed testing products.

QA Tool Selection & Integration:  We provide custom integrations of your QA toolset with complementary toolsets to address requirements management, test management, software configuration management, and content management.

Security Management:  We will audit and scan your e-business applications to diagnose the level of security and pinpoint vulnerabilities.  Typically, the testing is combined with load testing to measure the effects that a heavy load of users has on the application security.  Denial of service attacks (DoS) are simulated and customer’s Intrusion Detection System (IDS) is validated.

Defect Management:  We will tailor the associated workflow process and tools to your unique business needs for efficient routing of problems, status notifications, metrics collections, and benchmarking of project status. Our strong change management expertise can be leveraged to manage problem, defect, and incident resolution throughout the enterprise using tools like ClearQuest, Vantive, and Remedy.

MANAGED OPERATIONAL SERVICES

The innovative Pegasus Insourcing MethodologySM can be applied to provide role-based managed operational support services to our clients. A consistently high quality of service delivery is guaranteed through Service-Level Agreements (SLAs) and regular reports that track key performance metrics.

Applying this methodology to our QA practice we provide services to support your application development and deployment:

QA Solution Management & Support:  Key capabilities in this area include team-based solutions for functional testing, load testing, test automation, applications deployment, and application monitoring.

QA Tool Administration and Support:  Our value-add services include the ongoing support of best-of-breed QA toolsets.

Defect Management:  Support and administration of problem, defect and issue resolution, using custom or 3rd Party tool-sets.

Service delivery is managed by experienced Engagement Managers, who serve as the single-point of contact for client’s management.  Depending on the client needs, the Engagement Managers may be located onsite.  The service delivery team typically includes a technical lead, and is tailored to the specific needs of the client.  Services can be onsite or offsite providing up to 24x7 coverage.
